In peace of the mountain village of Berwang, the Alpchalet offers space for up to twenty people. The luxurious chalet is situated at 1,350 metres above sea level and is surrounded by the magnificent peaks of the Lechtal Alps. It is nestled in the beautiful Zugspitz Arena with its wide range of leisure activities.
Directly at the chalet beautifully laid out hiking trails and kilometres of cross-country ski trails start here, and the ski lift is just a short just 200 metres. In summer, numerous lakes in the neighbourhood and the Bären swimming pool for a refreshing dip.
The chalet - a little bit of luxury
In December 2010, the former "Landhaus Britta" was completely renovated, the building services and building envelope refurbished and the holiday flats extensively renovated. The result was the Chalet Residence Sonnleiten - the chalet was transferred to a new owner in January 2020.
After a small remodelling at the beginning of 2020, the Chalet Residence Sonnleiten became the Alpchalet Tirol.

"Chalet"
The designation "Chalet" originally comes from the French-speaking part of Switzerland and means something like "Sennhütte". In the 19th century the European aristocracy and bourgeoisie developed a growing interest in the traditional wooden house in the Swiss Alpine region.

On the idyllic outskirts of Berwang, you are welcomed by the Alpchalet Tirol in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena.
Berwang lies on a sun-drenched high plateau in the Tyrolean mountains and, at 1,340 metres above sea level, is the highest mountain village in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena.
On the sunny panoramic terrace in front of our apartment building, guests can sit comfortably in a beach chair and enjoy the wonderful high mountain landscape and plan their next excursions.
The location is ideal in both summer and winter for mountaineers for hiking and piste fans for skiing. Close to the lifts: the nearest ski lift of the Berwang ski area is just 200 metres away.
